The Baxter County BRFSS included questions about height and weight, as well as questions about weight loss and weight management.

Overweight

Risk Factor Definition: Overweight as Measured by Body Mass Index

Questions:
1. How much do you weigh without shoes?
2. How tall are you without shoes?

At Risk: Those with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of greater than 25.0 are overweight. BMI is a ratio of weight to height.

Who's At Risk in Baxter County?

Fifty-eight percent of Baxter County's adults are overweight. Younger people and those with higher incomes tended to be overweight less than others.
