Barriers to Psychological Care Visits Risk Factor Definition: Lack of Psychological Care Question: In the past 12 months, was there a time when you wanted to talk with a doctor or counselor about an emotional or mental health problem but did not do it? At Risk: Those who answered "yes" are considered at risk. Who's At Risk in Baxter County? Five percent said that they didn't speak to a doctor or counselor about mental health issues at some time during the past year when they felt they needed to. People with lower incomes were most likely to report that they didn't talk to a mental health provider when they felt they needed to. Very little difference was reported by different age and income groups.
