Health affects everything from how well our children are in school, as productive workforce, our. When the health of one part of society suffers, everyone suffers.

Overview

What is improving the health of his native city?

Improving Health hometown community initiative designed to improve health and quality of life in Arkansas. It was launched by the health department, Arkansas, to help communities meet their unique health needs.

Baxter County residents to see that the health care system is changing rapidly and dramatically. We also see our friends and neighbors sick, injured and dying from diseases that could be prevented. However, we do not themselves have the resources to address these issues. Community members work together, however, have the right to improve the health of our society. This initiative brings together members of our community to identify health problems and develop and implement their solutions.

It offers a locally owned and operated by local initiative. Department of Health of Arkansas provides leadership and technical assistance through our local medical center to help us:

  • Develop and maintain a broad community partnership
  • Assessment of the health of our society and to determine what may threaten the health of
  • Collection and interpretation of data, which reflect the health of our society
  • Decide which problem to solve, and how
  • Link to Resources
  • Execute plans to address
  • Measuring progress and making repayment of the show

This initiative provides an opportunity to bring together members of the community, public and private organizations and businesses to identify and solve problems through cooperation. Each community is different, so that the results of each project will vary.

If people in our society are working together on this initiative, we could:

  • Better health and quality of life in our society
  • Reducing the number of working days absence from work due to illness
  • Reducing the number of children missing school due to illness
  • Help sell our community a healthy place to live
  • Reduction of preventable illness and injury
  • The use of the available health care resources more efficiently
  • Improve coordination of public health services
  • Address specific health challenges identified by the community
  • Improvement of the problems associated with social issues such as teenage drinking and child abuse
  • Reducing the cost of health care

Improving the health of Native city needs a wide range of people and organizations, including consumers, businesses, health workers, elected officials, religious leaders, citizens, students and teachers.
